Balochistan Government Reaffirms Commitment to Eliminating Terrorism Under National “Azm-e-Istehkam” Vision

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister’s Adviser on Information and Political Affairs, Shahid Rind, has praised the security forces for their successful intelligence-based operations in Washuk and Mastung, stating that their professionalism and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism are a source of pride for the entire nation.
Rind said that on August 5 and 6, 2026, security forces conducted two effective intelligence-based operations under Operation Radd-ul-Fitan-3 in the districts of Washuk and Mastung. According to him, 12 militants belonging to the group referred to by the government as “Fitna al-Hindustan” were killed during the operations.
He said that on August 5, security forces acted on timely intelligence regarding militant movement in Washuk district, resulting in the killing of six militants. On August 6, another intelligence-based operation was carried out in Mastung, where, following an intense exchange of fire, six more militants were killed and their hideout was completely destroyed.
The adviser said that security forces and law enforcement agencies remain fully committed to restoring peace and order in Balochistan, safeguarding the lives and property of citizens, and eliminating terrorism.
He added that, under the national “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, the government aims to eradicate terrorism allegedly supported by foreign elements. Rind reaffirmed that the Government of Balochistan stands in complete solidarity with the security forces and law enforcement agencies in the country’s fight against terrorism and will continue to extend every possible support to ensure lasting peace, stability, and development across the province.
