Lahore University Student Suicide Attempt: Police Report Holds No One Responsible

Lahore:Police have completed their report into the suicide attempt by a student of a private university in Lahore and are expected to forward it to senior officials at any time today, according to sources.

The student of the University of Lahore, who attempted suicide, is currently under treatment at a hospital. Police sources confirmed that the 21-year-old student, Fatima, was taken off the ventilator yesterday and has since regained consciousness.

According to police sources, the investigation report into the incident has been finalized and does not hold any individual responsible for the incident. The report neither blames the student herself nor any male individual, nor does it hold the university administration responsible.

Instead, the report recommends that the university administration install glass panels and protective grills at specific areas of the building to help prevent such incidents in the future.

Police officials said the report will be sent to senior officers later today.
