Resolving Water Crisis and Ending Trawler Mafia in Gwadar Crucial, Says Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman in Key Meeting with Balochistan CM

**Gwadar (Daily Qudrat Quetta):** **Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Baloch**, Jamat-e-Islami Balochistan leader and Member of Provincial Assembly from Gwadar, held an important meeting with **Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Ali Bugti** at the Chief Minister’s Office in Quetta to discuss **critical public issues, development projects, and basic facilities** in Gwadar district.

During the meeting, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman expressed **serious concern over the illegal activities of the trawler mafia in Gwadar’s maritime areas**, emphasizing that trawler fishing is severely affecting the livelihoods of local fishermen and **immediate and effective measures are essential**. The Chief Minister assured that **serious steps would be taken** to curb these activities.

The water shortage crisis in Gwadar was also highlighted, with Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman urging the **acceleration of the pipeline project connecting Mirani Dam to Gwadar** to ensure **continuous supply of clean drinking water** to residents.

Other issues discussed included **issuance of fisherman cards, improvement of healthcare facilities, rehabilitation of Pasni Fish Harbour, acceleration of development projects under Omani grants, and regularization of Gwadar Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) employees**.

The Chief Minister listened attentively to all points raised, **issued instructions to relevant departments**, and assured that **practical measures would be taken to resolve the issues** affecting Gwadar’s development and public welfare.
