Bail Rejected for Suspect Accused of Sexual Assault and Viral Obscene Video in Credit Card Scam

Karachi: A city court has rejected the bail application of accused Mehroze, who was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a woman after luring her with the promise of obtaining a credit card and later circulating her obscene videos and images on social media.
The court was informed that the accused’s bail plea had already been dismissed by the Sindh High Court. During the hearing, advocate Qambar Abbas argued that the accused’s absconding accomplice is still harassing the victim and that if bail were granted, the accused could influence the investigation and the trial proceedings.
A case has been registered against the accused by Bahadurabad Police. According to the FIR, the suspects called the woman under the pretext of arranging a credit card and subjected her to sexual assault.
The prosecution further stated that the accused recorded obscene videos and photographs of the victim and later made them viral on social media.
After hearing the arguments, the court dismissed the bail application, citing the serious nature of the allegations.
