Rulers Turned Country into a Testing Ground, Elite Remains Safe While Masses Suffer Economic Hardship: Hafiz Hamdullah

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily):** Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) central leader Maulana Hafiz Hamdullah has said that every imposed ruler has turned the country into a testing ground in line with personal temperament and interests, resulting in the waste of national resources and pushing Pakistan deeper under the burden of debt.
Addressing various public and organizational gatherings in Quetta, Hafiz Hamdullah said that flawed policies, undemocratic decisions and poor governance have plunged the people into severe economic difficulties, while the elite has remained protected in every crisis. He said the current situation is not the outcome of a single era or government but the result of years of wrong decisions and unconstitutional measures.
He stated that the people are facing grave problems such as inflation, unemployment and a lack of basic facilities, whereas those in the corridors of power appear indifferent to public suffering.
The JUI leader emphasized that the only solution to Pakistan’s crises lies in the supremacy of the Constitution and law, genuine democracy and respect for the public mandate. He said that unless decisions are made in accordance with the will of the people and institutions operate within their constitutional limits, the country cannot move towards progress and stability.
Hafiz Hamdullah added that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam is striving for the establishment of a just, sovereign and people-friendly system in which national resources are spent on the welfare of the common people rather than the elite. He maintained that the party’s politics is not aimed at acquiring power but at laying the foundation for a stable, prosperous and sovereign Pakistan for future generations.
He also appealed to workers and the public to play their role in steering the country out of crises through constitutional, democratic and peaceful struggle.
