CM Balochistan Approves Full Funding for Police Development Projects, Orders Completion of 10 Police Stations Within Two Months

Quetta:A high-level meeting of the Police Project Management Unit was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti to review the progress of ongoing police development projects and to formulate a future strategy.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Communication Saleem Khan Khosa, Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Hamza Shafqat, Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Zahid Saleem, Acting IG Police Balochistan Saeed Wazir, Principal Secretary Babar Khan, Secretary Finance Imran Zarkoon, Secretary Communications Lal Jan Jaffar, Additional Secretary to CM Secretariat Muhammad Fareedun Khan, DIG CTD Aitezaz Hussain Goraya, Additional IG Development Javed Khan, and Ghulam Hussain Bajoi, among others.
During the meeting, the government approved the release of funds for pending police development schemes dating back to 2014. It was also decided to release 100% funding for the completion of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) complex.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti directed that the construction of ten police stations across various districts of the province must be completed within two months to ensure timely and improved policing services for the public. He emphasized the importance of strict monitoring and effective oversight to ensure the quality and timely execution of all police projects, warning that no negligence or delay would be tolerated.
The Chief Minister reiterated that enhancing the capacity of the police and aligning the security system with modern standards is a top priority for the Government of Balochistan. He added that providing modern infrastructure and facilities to the police is essential to improve law and order in the province.
He also stressed that the completion of police infrastructure will ensure a safer and more peaceful environment for the public, while the modernization of the CTD is crucial for the eradication of terrorism.
CM Bugti urged all concerned departments to ensure strict monitoring of ongoing projects to guarantee their timely and quality implementation. He concluded by saying that progress on police projects will bring a new dimension to peace and stability in the province and will further strengthen public trust in state institutions.
