London: The British publication Financial Times has recognized Pakistan Army Chief and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as an effective strategic leader navigating the evolving global order. The magazine described him as an expert in multidimensional foreign policy, highlighting his role in strengthening Pakistan’s diplomatic influence.
According to Financial Times, shifting global politics has created a complex environment for middle powers, and Pakistan’s military leadership has successfully adapted to these challenges. The publication noted that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is among the most successful multi-aligners among middle powers, with exceptional coordination during interactions with former U.S. President Donald Trump.
The magazine praised his diplomatic approach, emphasizing that timely dialogue and a soft diplomatic stance helped advance Pakistan’s foreign policy objectives, while India struggled to adjust to changing global dynamics and Trump’s style, resulting in diplomatic setbacks for New Delhi.
Financial Times further highlighted Pakistan’s strategic engagement under Field Marshal Munir’s leadership, noting that the country maintained active diplomatic relations simultaneously with Washington, Beijing, Riyadh, and Tehran. The publication called his approach a successful example of middle-power diplomacy, underscoring his ability to maneuver Pakistan effectively in an increasingly complex international landscape.
