Those Who Bring and Remove the Chief Minister Are the Same; Balochistan’s Issues Cannot Be Resolved Through Force: Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri

*Uthal (Daily Qudrat):* JUI-F Central Secretary General and Member of the National Assembly, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, has said that the same forces who bring a Chief Minister to power are also responsible for removing him, and that the opposition has no real role in such decisions.

Speaking to the media at the SMC farmhouse of former MPA and central minority leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Makhi Sham Lal Lasi, in Uthal, Maulana Haideri remarked, “If God is pleased, the world is pleased. Those who change the Chief Minister are better placed to answer questions about it.” He criticized constitutional amendments made in Pakistan, saying they were not introduced in the public interest but for personal gains, warning that such amendments could push the country toward a dark future.

Referring to the situation in Balochistan, Maulana Haideri said that since the martyrdom of tribal elder Nawab Akbar Bugti in 2006, anger and resentment have prevailed among the youth of the province. He added that successive rulers have tried to address this anger through the use of force, a policy that continues even today. “In our view, Balochistan’s issues can only be resolved through dialogue and understanding, not through coercion,” he said, adding that whenever force was used, instability only increased.

He warned the rulers that if the same approach continues, neither Balochistan’s problems nor those of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would ever be resolved. “Seventy-five years have passed and these issues remain unresolved. If this policy continues, they may not be solved even in the next hundred years,” he added.

Maulana Haideri said that those dying on both sides in Balochistan—whether security personnel or those resisting—are all “our children,” and that killing each other is only causing collective loss. He claimed that Balochistan’s problems can only be resolved by the establishment, while those in power are merely “showpieces” with no real authority. “If a truly empowered government comes into power, these issues can be resolved,” he asserted.

He emphasized that his party remains committed and hopeful, saying, “As long as there is life in us, we will continue our struggle.” Commenting on reports about the creation of new provinces for administrative restructuring, he said that no consultation has been held with his party so far. He reiterated JUI’s long-standing position that new provinces should not be formed on linguistic or regional bases, but only through resolutions passed by provincial assemblies for administrative purposes.

Earlier, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri received a warm and enthusiastic welcome in Uthal by JUI leaders, including Maulana Ghulam Qadir Qasmi, Maulana Abdul Hameed Arif, Makhi Sham Lasi, and Hussain Ahmed Madani.
