Trump Claims He Prevented Pakistan-India War, Hopes Russia-Ukraine Conflict Ends Soon

Lahore: Former U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking during a cabinet-style briefing, highlighted his administration’s achievements in economic growth and conflict resolution. He claimed that within ten months, the U.S. saw $18 trillion in investments, inflation decreased, and the stock market surged. Trump also noted record reductions in drug prices, stating his team lowered medicine costs by up to 800 percent, and mentioned plans to reduce gasoline prices to $2 per gallon.

Trump asserted that during his nine-month period, he prevented eight wars, leaving only one ongoing conflict. He specifically claimed to have stopped a potential war between Pakistan and India and expressed hope that the Russia-Ukraine war would also end soon.

Referring to the Department of Defense, he jokingly said he had renamed it the “Department of War” and emphasized that whenever he ends a war, people speculate about a Nobel Prize award. Trump said that if he ends the Russia-Ukraine conflict, he believes he deserves recognition for his peace efforts.

He acknowledged that resolving the Russia-Ukraine war would be complex, noting that around 27,000 people were killed in the conflict last month. He also mentioned deploying National Guards in Louisiana and New Orleans in response to ongoing concerns.
