KPK Opposition Leader Slams CM Gandapur’s Lahore Visit Amid Province’s Crisis

Peshawar – Opposition Leader in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Dr. Ibadullah, has launched a strong critique of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s recent political visit to Lahore, accusing him of ignoring the pressing crises faced by the province.

In a scathing statement, Dr. Ibadullah said that while the province is grappling with increasing lawlessness, terrorism, and public uncertainty, the Chief Minister is busy leading a political show of solidarity in Punjab, accompanied by a large entourage.

“The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are suffering, and yet the Chief Minister chooses to engage in political theatre in Lahore. This is nothing but a mockery of public sentiment,” said the opposition leader.

He further alleged that millions of rupees from the public treasury were being spent on what he termed a “political display,” questioning the legality and justification behind dispatching a convoy of thousands of vehicles for a single political statement.

“This is not governance—it’s a parade of arrogance and misplaced priorities,” he added. Dr. Ibadullah emphasized that the provincial government must shift its focus toward real issues, including inflation, insecurity, and growing public despair.

He demanded immediate and practical measures to address the challenges facing the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and urged the government to realign its priorities toward genuine public service rather than political exhibitionism.
