JUI Leader farrukh khokhar Arrested Over Possession of Unlicensed Firearm

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Police have taken **Farooq Khokhar**, a leader of **Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI)**, into custody for allegedly possessing an unlicensed firearm.

According to sources, Khokhar was **arrested at a checkpoint at Zero Point** during routine checks, where the firearm was reportedly recovered from his possession. He is being **transferred to Abpara Police Station** for initial investigation, after which further legal proceedings will be carried out.

Authorities are currently **examining the confiscated weapon and related documents**. No official statement has yet been issued by the police, and JUI has not commented on the arrest.

Farooq Khokhar recently joined JUI after meeting **Maulana Fazlur Rehman**. He hails from the well-known **Khokhar family of Rawalpindi**, which includes former National Assembly Deputy Speaker **Nawaz Khokhar**, former Senator and former spokesperson of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari **Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar**, and **Imtiaz Khokhar (Taji Khokhar)**. He is Nawaz Khokhar’s nephew and Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar’s cousin.
