Khawaja Asif Speaks in Trump’s Language to Please Him; His Statement on Seminaries Is False”—Hafiz Hamdullah

**Loralai:** Senior JUI-F leader and former Senator **Hafiz Hamdullah** has strongly criticized Defence Minister **Khawaja Asif** for his statement claiming that thousands of religious seminaries in Islamabad were built on encroached land. Speaking to journalists in **Loralai**, Hamdullah called the statement **false and misleading**.
He questioned the existence of “thousands of seminaries in Islamabad” and challenged Asif to prove his claim before the nation and the assembly. Hamdullah accused Asif of relying on baseless statements and said he often tailors his words to please foreign leaders, specifically former U.S. President Trump—similar to how former President Musharraf sought to appease U.S. leadership through his rhetoric.
Hamdullah predicted that while individuals like Khawaja Asif may come and go, **scholars, seminaries, and mosques will endure**.
On constitutional matters, he said that JUI-F had rejected the **27th Amendment** as being contrary to the spirit of the 1973 Constitution, emphasizing that no field marshal or president is above the Constitution or the law—a principle rooted in Islamic teachings.
He further warned that until the **establishment’s intervention ends**, only Allah can safeguard the country and its people. Hamdullah also criticized the current government as being formed through coercion and “boot power,” calling its mandate illegitimate. He demanded **immediate, free, and fair general elections** to prevent the country from sliding further into political and economic crisis.
