Political Tensions Escalate in Balochistan: CM and Agriculture Minister Clash; Hub DC and ADC Suspended
QUETTA: Political temperatures in Balochistan have surged as tensions between Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and Provincial Minister for Agriculture Mir Ali Hassan Zehri have intensified, resulting in swift action against district administration officials.
The Chief Minister intervened in the minister’s constituency over the issuance of controversial local certificates and suspended Deputy Commissioner Hub Nisar Lango and Additional Deputy Commissioner General Ali Raza Khosa for 90 days.
However, sources reveal that the disputed local certificates were issued solely by the ADC, and the DC had little to no involvement in the matter. The suspensions are widely being viewed as fallout from an ongoing political tug-of-war within the provincial cabinet.
