Balochistan IG Police Promotes Former Levies Risaldar Majors to Acting DSPs
Honours Presented in a Dignified Ceremony at Central Police Office Quetta

Quetta: In a significant development, **Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir**, has promoted former **Levies Risaldar Majors**—recently integrated into the provincial police force—to the rank of **Acting Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)**. Orders for their posting across various districts of the province have also been issued.
Following the merger of the Levies Force into the Balochistan Police, these officers have now become a formal part of the provincial police service. To mark the occasion, a **ceremonial event** was held at the **Central Police Office (CPO) Quetta**, where the newly appointed officers were warmly welcomed.
The ceremony was attended by **Acting DIG Headquarters Ayaz Baloch**, **AIG Operations Captain (R) Naveed Alam**, and other senior officials.
Addressing the gathering, **IG Police Muhammad Tahir** praised the newly inducted officers, describing them as a “valuable asset” to the institution. He assured them of **better facilities, benefits, and career advancement opportunities**, emphasizing the department’s commitment to professional development.
During the event, the IG Police also listened to the officers’ concerns and issued immediate instructions for their resolution.
