PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui Passes Away

*Islamabad (Qudrat News)* — **Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Irfan Siddiqui has passed away** after battling respiratory complications. Senator Siddiqui had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Islamabad for the past two weeks and was unable to participate in the voting process for the 27th Constitutional Amendment due to his illness.

Irfan Siddiqui, elected to the Senate in March 2021, served as the **Parliamentary Leader of PML-N in the Senate** and was a close associate of party president **Nawaz Sharif**. He also chaired the **Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs**.


Expressing grief over his death, **Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti** praised Siddiqui as a **veteran writer, compassionate educator, and thoughtful politician**. He highlighted Siddiqui’s contributions as a **columnist, researcher, and senator**, noting that his insights and balanced views on national affairs provided valuable guidance.

Bugti extended prayers for Siddiqui’s **elevation in ranks and forgiveness**, and conveyed condolences to his family, describing his passing as an **irreparable loss to Pakistan’s intellectual, literary, and political circles**.
