Subsidized petrol only for token-generated vehicles: Petrol Pump owners
ISLAMABAD: The Petrol Pump Owners Association has issued an important announcement for citizens, stating that under the Prime Minister’s subsidy scheme, subsidized petrol will be available only to vehicles for which a token has been generated; unregistered vehicles will not qualify for the subsidy.
According to details, the All Pakistan Petrol Pump Owners Association has appealed for cooperation from consumers seeking subsidized petrol under the scheme, clarifying that the subsidy will apply exclusively to registered vehicles with valid tokens.
Association leader Noman Ali Butt stated that, in accordance with government directives, the subsidy is available only to consumers whose vehicles are registered and have a properly generated token.
He added that pump owners are legally obligated to provide subsidized petrol only to vehicles whose tokens appear in the system; subsidized petrol cannot be dispensed into any vehicle other than one with a valid token.
