Decision-Makers Say Whether PTI Holds or Postpones Long March Is No Longer the Issue: Shahzad Iqbal

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily): Journalist Shahzad Iqbal has said that decision-makers say whether PTI holds or postpones the long march is no longer the issue — the issue is now national security.
Speaking on Geo News’ program “Naya Pakistan,” anchorperson Shahzad Iqbal said that the question now is: what is the real reason for postponing the long march? Has PTI done so because of some behind-the-scenes government assurance? Is the long march being postponed due to a lack of preparations? A PTI leader confirmed the postponement of the long march but did not confirm the lack of preparations.
Rather, he said that preparations are not an issue — “if they want, let them play a Test match.”

October 5 is Imran Khan’s birthday, which is why that day holds greater symbolic importance. While PTI intends to play a “Test match” on that day, our sources indicate that the government is thinking something else entirely. We have spoken to various sources in this regard.
Decision-makers say that PTI’s long march is no longer the issue. If PTI wants to hold the long march, let it; if it wants to postpone it, let it. The issue has now moved forward — the issue is now national security. The real issue is that Sohail Afridi and his colleagues are weakening Pakistan by colluding with terrorists, due to which terrorism is increasing in Pakistan. Therefore, it has now been decided that Sohail Afridi’s government will have to go.
Similarly, Federal Minister Atta Tarar also expressed similar views and also leveled allegations of facilitating terrorists against PTI.
