UK Chief of General Staff Visits GHQ, Meets Pakistan Army Chief
Both leaders reaffirm commitment to regional peace and stability

Rawalpindi: Chief of the General Staff of the British Army, **General Sir Charles Roland Vincent Walker**, called on **Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir**, at the **General Headquarters (GHQ)** in Rawalpindi.
According to the **Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)**, the meeting focused on matters of **mutual interest, regional security**, and ways to **enhance defence cooperation** between the two countries. Both leaders reaffirmed their **commitment to maintaining joint efforts for regional peace and stability**.
The visiting dignitary lauded the **sacrifices and achievements of the Pakistan Army** in the fight against terrorism and acknowledged **Pakistan’s vital role in promoting peace and stability in the region**.
Earlier upon arrival at GHQ, **General Walker laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument** to pay tribute to the fallen heroes. He was also presented with a **guard of honour** by a contingent of the Pakistan Army.
