Lawyer Jalila Haider Booked for Supporting BLA-Linked Mahrang Baloch on Social Media

Rawalpindi: A case has been registered against human rights lawyer Jalila Haider under cybercrime laws for allegedly expressing support for Mahrang Baloch, who is linked to the banned organization Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), on social media.
According to the FIR, the case was filed at the Cyber Crime Wing, Islamabad, based on a complaint by cybercrime ambassador Anees ur Rehman. The FIR states that during an inquiry, it was revealed that Advocate Jalila Haider had deliberately shared content in support of Mahrang Baloch, who is listed under the Fourth Schedule by the Balochistan Home Department.
The FIR further alleges that her actions were aimed at spreading unrest and instability at the public and societal level.
Jalila Haider has been booked under Sections 9, 10, and 26-A of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016.
