MQM Leader Farooq Sattar Threatens Sit-in on Shahrah-e-Faisal Against E-Challan System

Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan senior leader **Dr. Farooq Sattar** has strongly criticized the Sindh government’s newly introduced **e-challan system**, calling it a “new scheme to extort money from Karachi’s citizens.”
Addressing a public gathering in **Surjani Town Sector 4-B**, Dr. Sattar warned that if the e-challan system is not withdrawn, he will lead a massive protest on **Shahrah-e-Faisal** along with **six million motorcyclists**.
He accused the Sindh government of failing to provide basic civic amenities while burdening Karachi’s residents with “feudal-style and unjust taxes.” “If this system is not implemented in **Larkana, Kashmore, or Dadu**, then why is it being enforced only in Karachi?” he questioned.
Dr. Sattar said that citizens reject the Sindh government’s unfair taxation policies and mocked the government’s approach, saying, *“The dove lays the eggs, but the crow eats them — this injustice must end now.”*
He further demanded that the government should first fix **roads, drainage systems, and other urban infrastructure** before imposing any taxes. “Dumpers and containers are already taking lives on Karachi’s roads; now they want to take people’s money too. This exploitation will not be tolerated,” he declared.
