Severe Heat and Dry Weather Persist in Punjab, No Rain Expected: Met Office

LAHORE: Heat intensity continues to rise across Punjab, including the provincial capital, as dry weather conditions lead to a gradual increase in temperatures.
According to the Meteorological Department, citizens are facing severe heat during daytime hours, which is significantly affecting daily routines. The ongoing dry spell is expected to further intensify the heat in the coming days.
In Lahore, the minimum temperature has been recorded at 25°C, while the maximum is expected to reach 38°C, making the weather increasingly uncomfortable for residents.
Authorities stated that the weather in Lahore will remain hot and dry over the next 24 hours. The Met Office has also forecast that there is currently no chance of rainfall anywhere in Punjab.
Experts warn that due to the absence of rain, no immediate relief from rising temperatures is expected. Citizens have been advised to take precautionary measures, avoid unnecessary exposure to sunlight, and increase water intake to protect themselves from heat-related issues.
The Meteorological Department added that if the current weather pattern continues, there is little chance of any significant decrease in heat intensity in the coming days.
