Imran Khan’s X Account Likely Operated from Outside Jail, Says Barrister Gohar

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman **Barrister Gohar Ali Khan** has said that **Imran Khan’s X (formerly Twitter) account is likely being operated from outside jail**, not from within Adiala Prison.
Speaking to the media outside **Adiala Jail**, Barrister Gohar said the party demands that **Imran Khan’s cases be conducted openly**, similar to other trials, allowing **access to lawyers, media, and the public**, in line with the **Islamabad High Court’s directives for open hearings**.
He expressed concern over the **speedy proceedings** in Imran Khan’s trials, saying such haste **raises doubts and questions about judicial independence**, and that **public confidence in the judiciary is declining**.
The PTI chairman noted that the **190 million pounds case** involving **Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi** has been **delayed for eight months**, adding that the party consistently questions the lack of transparency in the trial process.
Commenting on recent reports, Barrister Gohar said, “Imran Khan’s sisters have **no connection or contact with any agency** — even the suspicion of such links is baseless.” He added that **misunderstandings or miscommunication** may have led to certain allegations, and emphasized that **Imran Khan has instructed party members to avoid discussing internal matters publicly**.
He further stated that **PTI firmly believes terrorism must be eradicated**, and if a **coordinated operation is underway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa**, efforts should be made to **avoid casualties on both sides**.
Addressing another question, Barrister Gohar reiterated, “**Imran Khan’s X account cannot be operated from jail; it must be managed from outside.** I’m not aware of any policy regarding the suspension of his account.”
He also reaffirmed that **Ali Amin Gandapur will remain Chief Minister of KP as long as he retains the founder’s confidence.**
