Following the event, social media platforms were abuzz with speculation about senior journalist **Hamid Mir’s expressions** during the moment General Asim Munir received the award. Many users began circulating various claims and assumptions regarding his demeanor.
Responding to the rumors, Hamid Mir took to the microblogging platform **X (formerly Twitter)** to clarify the situation. He explained that during the ceremony, **Senator Faisal Sabzwari** had asked him about the **Hilal-e-Jurat**, prompting him to provide a historical explanation.
Hamid Mir wrote that he informed the senator that the Hilal-e-Jurat is a significant military award, first conferred after the 1965 war to **General Musa Khan**.
With this clarification, Hamid Mir aimed to put an end to the unfounded speculations circulating online.
