Women Empowerment Highlighted During Balochistan Assembly Session

Quetta:During a session of the Balochistan Assembly, Chief Minister’s Advisor Dr. Rubaba Baloch presented a joint resolution emphasizing the promotion and empowerment of women’s rights through mutual cooperation and assistance among women members affiliated with various parties. The resolution sought to uphold the provisions of Rule 4(1) of the Balochistan Women Parliamentary Caucus Rules 2020, aimed at granting autonomy to women in decision-making processes.

The Assembly approved the joint resolution, endorsing the tradition of mutual cooperation and support among women legislators. In the same session, Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani presented audit reports under Article 171, including the Government of Balochistan’s financial report for 2023-24, Audit Report of Accounts of the Gwadar Port Authority from 2013-14 to 2020-21, Performance Audit Report of Fisheries Department from 2015-16 to 2019-20, and Sustainable Development Goals Achievement Audit for 2018-20, which were referred to the Public Accounts Committee for review.

The Assembly session concluded later in the day at 3 PM after deliberating on these important matters.
