Balochistan Government Announces Reforms in Levies Force, Revokes Old Notifications

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has announced major reforms in the Levies Force, officially revoking all previous notifications issued under the **Levies Act 2010**.
According to a notification issued by the provincial Home Department, all matters of the Levies Force will now be governed under the newly introduced **Levies (Amendment) Act 2025**.
The government stated that the decision is part of a broader reform agenda aimed at improving the structure, efficiency, and performance of the Levies Force.
The announcement highlighted that the new law will help strengthen the institutional framework of the Home Department, enhance operational performance, and ensure better delivery of public services.
The Home Department further added that the Levies system is being aligned with modern legislation to improve its effectiveness and provide improved services to the people of Balochistan.
