Over 140,000 Candidates Register for MDCAT 2025; Test Scheduled for October 26

ISLAMABAD: More than 140,000 candidates have registered for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025, which will now be held on October 26, according to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

The test, initially scheduled for October 5, was postponed to facilitate students from flood-affected areas. It will be conducted across Pakistan and at an international center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

A total of **140,071 candidates** have successfully registered. Punjab leads with **50,443 registrations** under the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore, followed by **39,964 candidates from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa** under Khyber Medical University, Peshawar, and **33,160 from Sindh** under Sukkur IBA Testing Service. Balochistan registered **10,278 candidates** through Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, Quetta.

Additionally, **1,146 candidates from Islamabad Capital Territory, 3,322 from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and 1,564 from Gilgit-Baltistan** have registered under Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad.

For overseas candidates, **194 students have registered** to appear at the Riyadh center, also under the Islamabad-based university.

PMDC stated that the MDCAT 2025 will be conducted by provincial universities in collaboration with the council, ensuring fair and transparent admissions into medical and dental colleges nationwide.
