Weekly Inflation Rate Recorded at 2.30% Annually: Pakistan Bureau of Statistics Report

Islamabad: The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has released its weekly inflation report, revealing that the annual weekly inflation rate stands at 2.30%. According to the report, prices of 18 essential commodities increased during the past week.
The data shows a slight weekly decrease of 0.01% in the overall inflation rate. Over the same period, prices of 8 items dropped, while 25 items remained stable.
Among the notable increases, the price of a 20 kg flour bag rose from Rs. 1,492 to Rs. 1,632. Tomatoes saw an increase of more than Rs. 21 per kg, onions rose by Rs. 7 per kg, and chicken became Rs. 16 per kg more expensive.
The report highlights persistent pressure on household budgets due to the rising cost of essential goods.
