Calls for Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan to Consider International Retirement, Says Former Pacer

Karachi: Former Pakistan fast bowler Tanvir Ahmed has advised star cricketers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan to consider retiring from international cricket, following their exclusion from the upcoming tri-nation series in the UAE and the Asia Cup squad.
In a statement shared on social media, Tanvir said that if Babar and Rizwan feel they are no longer valued, they should seriously think about stepping away from international cricket. He referenced Indian star Virat Kohli as an example of making tough career decisions when necessary.
Tanvir also voiced his concerns over the current team selection process, questioning several choices made by selectors. He expressed surprise over the inclusion of Fakhar Zaman in the squad, suggesting inconsistencies in the selection criteria.
The exclusion of Babar and Rizwan from key tournaments has sparked debate among fans and analysts, with opinions divided over whether it’s time for a new generation or if Pakistan is sidelining its most experienced players too soon.
