Public Accounts Committee Holds Important Session in Quetta

Quetta:Under the chairmanship of Asghar Ali Tarin, a commendatory session of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) was convened in the Committee Room of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly. The committee was briefed on the importance of transparency in public accounts, accountability, and public finances.

Secretary Assembly Tahir Shah Kakar presented a detailed presentation to the assembly members on the workings and significance of PAC. Director General Audit Shuja Ali briefed the assembly on the audit procedures in the province, while Accountant General Balochistan, Nasrullah Jan, shed light on the Appropriation Accounts for the committee members.

Chairman Asghar Ali Tarin emphasized the committee’s determination towards accountability, ensuring the proper utilization of public funds, and addressing irregularities with seriousness. He stressed the necessity of transparency and responsible governance for effective operations of the Public Accounts Committee.

Tarin stated, “We will scrutinize irregularities in public funds while striving to deliver the best possible results.” He expressed gratitude to the members and attendees for their participation.

Participants included Noorullah Damdar, Rahmat Saleh Baloch, Ubaidullah Gorgagej, Assembly Secretary Tahir Shah Kakar, Additional Secretary PAC Sirajuddin Lohar, Chief Account Officer Syed Idris Agha, Accountant General Balochistan Nasrullah Jan, and Director General Audit Shuja Ali.
