CM Balochistan Takes Action Against Reappointment of Retired Officer, Orders Investigation

Quetta: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sardar Fazal Baloch, has taken serious notice of the controversial reappointment of retired officer Murad Mohammad Mari and the additional charge given to him as Tehsildar of Kachlak and Tehsildar Settlement Office Quetta. The matter came to light through social media reports and public concerns. CM Balochistan has ordered an immediate inquiry into the issue.
According to the spokesperson for the Balochistan government, Shahid Rand, the Chief Minister has directed the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) to conduct a thorough investigation into the possible misuse of authority and any violations of rules and regulations related to the appointment.
Various circles have raised doubts over the additional charge given to Murad Mohammad Mari, as it involved a retired official being appointed to two significant posts. CM Balochistan has instructed the inquiry team to submit a report within a week so that appropriate legal action can be taken.
In line with the CM’s directives, the Board of Revenue Balochistan immediately acted and annulled the notification issued on July 29, 2025, regarding Murad Mohammad Mari’s reappointment. The Board of Revenue’s official statement confirmed that the notification has been canceled and all relevant authorities and officers have been officially informed of the decision.
Spokesperson Shahid Rand emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sardar Fazal Baloch, the provincial government adheres strictly to the principles of law, regulations, transparency, and accountability. He assured that any actions violating these principles or involving the illegal use of power will not be tolerated.
