PkMAP Rejects New Divisions, Announces Legal and Public Protest Against ‘Unjust Administrative Restructuring’

**Quetta:** The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has strongly rejected the provincial government’s decision to create new divisions and merge certain districts, calling the move a distortion of historical and geographical realities.
In a press release issued by the party’s provincial secretariat, PkMAP described the decision as contrary to objective conditions, historical facts, and ground realities. The statement asserted that merging districts in a manner that disregards historical, national, linguistic, and social values amounts to tampering with history and undermining long-established regional identities.
The party maintained that the formation of new divisions without the consent of the Pashtun population is unacceptable. It argued that administrative restructuring carried out without considering historical, geographical, linguistic, and cultural factors violates the rights and aspirations of the people.
PkMAP warned the government that it would challenge the decision through legal and constitutional means and would also launch a peaceful political and democratic movement with public support. The party added that responsibility for any consequences arising from the situation would rest with the current provincial government.
