How to Register for Benazir Income Support Program and Receive Financial Assistance

Islamabad: The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has launched a nationwide awareness campaign to inform the public about the registration process for financial aid under the Benazir Kafalat Program.
The primary goal of this survey is to update poverty statistics across the country and ensure that only deserving families benefit from the government’s social protection network.
Started in 2008, the Benazir Kafalat Program provides quarterly financial assistance of PKR 13,500 to low-income families.
Through this dynamic survey, families who have been receiving aid for several years are being re-registered to maintain transparency and fairness.
Registration Process:
Eligible families need to visit their nearest BISP tehsil registration center and follow these steps:
Obtain a token from the registration desk
Give an interview to trained staff according to their token number
Provide accurate information about the current household situation
Receive a confirmation receipt upon completion
After registration, applicants will receive an SMS on 8171 detailing their eligibility.
Important Instructions:
Bring original CNIC and children’s B-Forms
Provide a valid mobile phone number
Bring a recent electricity bill for verification
Registration is completely free; any demand for money is illegal
BISP has also deployed mobile vans in remote areas and launched a mobile app to track registration progress. Biometric verification and data updates are part of the process for current beneficiaries, who must re-register by June 30 to avoid suspension of aid.
In collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan, BISP is working to open individual bank accounts for over 9 million eligible women to ensure financial transparency and empowerment.
Once registered, beneficiaries will not only qualify for quarterly financial assistance but also gain access to other welfare programs.
