Good News for Karachi Residents: Weather Forecast Predicts Rainy Spells

Karachi: Residents of Karachi, who have been enduring intense heat, have received some good news regarding the weather. Meteorologists have forecasted two to three spells of rain in the city during this month, which are expected to bring some relief and make the weather partially pleasant.
According to meteorologist Anjum Nazir, light rainfall is expected in Karachi between July 9 and 11, while one or two more rain spells could impact the city by mid-July. He mentioned that light showers are also likely in other parts of Sindh, while monsoon rains are intensifying in the northern regions of the country.
Nazir added that heavy downpours are expected in northeastern and upper Punjab. He also highlighted that in Chirat, 92 mm of rain was recorded in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the Early Warning Center of the Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted light rain or drizzle at intervals in Karachi over the next three days, with generally overcast skies. The maximum temperature in the city is expected to remain between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, and the prevailing sea breeze is expected to reduce the intensity of the heat.
The meteorological department stated that monsoon winds are continuously affecting the eastern regions of Sindh. Moderate to light showers with thunder are expected in Tharparkar today and tomorrow. Similarly, light rain or drizzle is predicted in Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Jamshoro, and Hyderabad. The weather in other parts of the province is expected to remain partly cloudy, humid, and warm.
It is worth mentioning that after the rain, the cool winds and humidity in Karachi are expected to make the weather somewhat pleasant. However, citizens have been advised to take precautionary measures during the rain to avoid any potential urban issues.
