PTI Boycotts Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Session Amidst Political Tensions

Peshawar, Pakistan* – The parliamentary party of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to boycott today’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly session following a series of developments in the province’s political landscape.
Despite the assembly session being delayed by over two hours, opposition members attended the assembly hall. However, PTI lawmakers were directed to attend a separate parliamentary party meeting rather than participating in the session. The meeting, led by KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, concluded with the decision to boycott the session.
The move highlights ongoing tensions within the provincial government and is seen as part of PTI’s broader strategy to exert political pressure. The decision to withdraw from the assembly comes at a time when political dynamics in the province continue to shift rapidly.
This decision could have significant implications on the assembly’s proceedings and may increase the already intense political rivalry between PTI and the ruling factions in KP. Further reactions are expected from the opposition as the situation unfolds.
