7 Out of 10 Abducted Picnickers Still Missing in Balochistan’s Shaban Picnic Point

Quetta: In a tragic incident at Shaban Picnic Point in Balochistan on June 20, 10 picnickers were abducted by terrorists, and seven remain missing to date.

Among the missing individuals, six were members of a single family from Quetta. They included Sheikh Shan Raza’s three sons – Farhan Raza, Hasan Raza, and Rehan Raza.

According to local media reports, three individuals – Abdul Basit, Mohammad Haris, and Hussain – were released by the abductors and managed to return home.

Sheikh Shan Raza, speaking through a video shared on social media, revealed that although originally from Punjab, he was born and settled in Quetta. He recounted how on Eid, his three sons, along with three guests from Punjab, had gone to Picnic Point, where terrorists abducted them as soon as they disembarked their motorcycles.

Sheikh Shan Raza mentioned that all the young men were earning their livelihood through various small jobs.

He further explained that the terrorists first checked the identity cards of his sons and others, then took them away, and their whereabouts remain unknown.

It has been 26 days since the incident, and despite efforts, Sheikh Shan Raza emphasized that their loved ones have not been recovered. He appealed to the government to make every effort for the safe return of their beloved ones.
