Security Forces Thwart Terrorist Attack on Bannu Cantt, Several Injured

Kashmir:Security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa conducted a successful operation to thwart a cowardly terrorist attack on Bannu Cantonment. Early Monday morning at 5 AM, terrorists attempted to breach the walls near the supply depot with an explosive-laden vehicle. Prompt action by security forces prevented their entry into the cantonment, leading to a standoff with terrorists trapped on one side.

Subsequently, security forces initiated a clearance operation. According to media reports, the initial explosion caused significant damage, shattering windows of nearby buildings and injuring 8 individuals, including women and children, due to flying glass amid ensuing gunfire.

The incident highlights ongoing security challenges in the region despite concerted efforts to maintain peace and stability.
