CM Balochistan Revokes Pay Cut Notification After Meeting with UoB Vice Chancellor

Quetta:Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfraz Bugti, has revoked a recent notification concerning salary deductions for the faculty and staff of the University of Balochistan (UoB), following a meeting with the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Bazai.

During the meeting, held in Quetta, Vice Chancellor Dr. Bazai expressed concerns over the notification that had announced cuts in salaries, highlighting the impact it would have had on university staff. In response, the Chief Minister immediately ordered the cancellation of the salary deduction notification.

Dr. Bazai welcomed the decision and expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for his prompt action and support for the academic community.

The two also discussed broader financial challenges facing educational institutions in Balochistan and explored potential solutions to improve the sustainability and efficiency of higher education in the province.
