Turkish President Erdogan Reaffirms Support for Pakistan Amid Rising Tensions with India
Islamabad:Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a recent telephone conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, expressed Turkey’s solidarity with Pakistan amid escalating tensions following India’s missile strikes.
President Erdoğan conveyed **deep condolences** over the loss of innocent Pakistani lives and commended Pakistan’s commitment to peace in South Asia.
*“Turkey stands by its brotherly nation, Pakistan, and is ready to play its role as a long-standing and trusted friend,”* said President Erdoğan.
He stressed that Turkey supports **de-escalation of tensions** and prays for the success of Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to maintain peace in the region.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif **strongly condemned India’s missile attacks**, calling them a **cowardly and unacceptable assault** on Pakistan’s sovereignty.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment, PM Sharif stated,
