Gunmen Kill Man in Quetta, Police Begin Investigation: Father and Son Drown in Gaddani Beach Tragedy

Quetta:In a tragic incident, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a man in Quetta’s Subzal Road, Podgali Chowk area on Monday, killing him on the spot. The police reported that the assailants fled the scene immediately after the shooting. The victim has been identified as Allah Bakhsh. The police have transferred the body to the hospital and initiated an investigation into the crime.

In another heartbreaking event, a father and son drowned at Gaddani Beach while enjoying a day out. According to reports, Kareem Shah, a resident of Karachi’s Banaras Katti Pahari, had come to the beach with his family. While swimming, his 12-year-old son, Obaid, was caught in strong waves. In an attempt to save his son, Kareem Shah jumped into the sea but was also swept away by the waves and drowned. Local witnesses described Kareem Shah as a hardworking man living in a rented house.

This tragic incident is being attributed to the lack of precautionary measures and inadequate rescue facilities at the beach. Authorities have yet to comment on whether any action will be taken to address safety concerns at coastal areas.
