Rain-Bearing Weather System to Enter Pakistan on May 1, Bringing Relief from Intense Heat

Lahore – A rain-bearing weather system is expected to enter Pakistan on May 1, bringing much-needed relief from the ongoing intense heatwave. According to the Meteorological Department, the system is likely to cause rainfall and strong winds across Lahore and various districts of Punjab, resulting in a noticeable drop in temperature.
Currently, Punjab, including Lahore, is experiencing extreme heat. Temperatures in Lahore are forecast to range from a minimum of 24°C to a maximum of 42°C. In southern Punjab, the mercury may soar even higher, reaching up to 44–45°C.
The incoming weather system is anticipated to provide temporary respite from the scorching conditions affecting the region.
