Heavy Rain, Hailstorms Expected Across Multiple Regions in Pakistan – NDMA Issues Weather Alert

Islamabad – The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a weather alert warning of intense rainfall and hailstorms in various parts of the country today and tomorrow. Citizens are urged to avoid unnecessary travel as severe weather conditions are expected to impact several regions.

According to the alert, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and several districts in Punjab including Attock, Chakwal, Gujrat, and Jhelum could experience thunderstorms accompanied by hail. The NDMA also highlighted that Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Jhang, Khushab, and Mianwali may be affected by severe weather patterns.

Further alerts have been issued for Lahore, Narowal, Sahiwal, Sargodha, and Sheikhupura, with warnings of potential heavy rain and strong winds.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rainfall and snowfall are expected in various districts over the next 48 hours. The NDMA has cautioned about the risks of landslides and avalanches in mountainous areas due to continuous precipitation and snow buildup.

Residents are advised to stay informed through official channels and take precautionary measures, especially in vulnerable and high-altitude areas.
