Azam Swati Seeks Approval for Talks with Establishment from Imran Khan, but the Former PM Declines

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Azam Swati recently sought approval from former Prime Minister Imran Khan for negotiations with the establishment. However, Imran Khan did not agree to engage in talks with the establishment, while Bushra Bibi (Imran Khan’s wife) showed a willingness to proceed with negotiations.
It is expected that today, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will visit Adiala Jail, where a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan is likely.
Sources suggest that Azam Swati had visited Adiala Jail yesterday with a specific message and was trying to arrange a meeting with Imran Khan for several days. His meeting was managed by Ali Amin Gandapur. Swati was eventually granted permission for the meeting, during which he also claimed that Imran Khan’s release would happen soon.
According to sources, during the meeting, Azam Swati requested Imran Khan’s approval for negotiations with the establishment. However, Imran Khan did not agree to the idea. On the other hand, Bushra Bibi was open to the possibility of talks with the establishment.
The visit of Ali Amin Gandapur to meet Imran Khan today is seen as a continuation of Azam Swati’s efforts to broker such a dialogue.
