Retail Price of Cement Continues to Decline Across Pakistan

Islamabad:The retail price of cement in the country has continued its downward trend during the week ending on March 6, as per the statistics provided by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
In the northern cities of the country, the average retail price of a cement bag was recorded at Rs. 1,321, which marks a 0.63% decrease compared to the previous week when the average price was Rs. 1,329. Similarly, in the southern cities, the average retail price of a cement bag was Rs. 1,381, which is a 0.05% decrease compared to the previous week’s price of Rs. 1,382.
According to the data, during the past week, the average retail price of a cement bag in Islamabad was Rs. 1,279, in Rawalpindi it was Rs. 1,289, in Gujranwala it was Rs. 1,330, in Sialkot Rs. 1,320, in Lahore Rs. 1,350, in Faisalabad Rs. 1,370, in Sargodha Rs. 1,340, in Multan Rs. 1,311, in Bahawalpur Rs. 1,366, in Peshawar Rs. 1,322, and in Bannu it was Rs. 1,250.
In southern cities, the average retail price of cement was as follows: Karachi at Rs. 1,321, Hyderabad at Rs. 1,340, Sukkur at Rs. 1,450, Larkana at Rs. 1,400, Quetta at Rs. 1,440, and in Khuzdar at Rs. 1,337.
