National Party Leader Condemns Targeted Killings of Party Members in Balochistan
Quetta:Rahmat Saleh Baloch, the Deputy Parliamentary Leader of the National Party in the Balochistan Assembly, has strongly condemned the recent wave of organized targeted killings of party leaders. In a statement, he described these killings as part of a deep-rooted and systematic conspiracy aimed at crushing Balochistan’s democratic struggle and instilling fear among the people.
Baloch stated, “These are not random acts of violence; they are a deliberate part of a planned agenda. First, Akbar Baloch was brutally martyred in Bagh, and now our senior leader Abdul Ghafour has been targeted in Panjgur.” He stressed that these incidents clearly indicate that anti-social elements are determined to suppress the political struggle and ideological movement of the National Party.
He sharply criticized the administration for its failure to apprehend those responsible for these killings, stating, “The inability to catch the perpetrators is proof that the security forces have completely failed in protecting the lives and property of the public. This is not just incompetence; it is criminal silence.” He added, “If the administration continues to turn a blind eye, we know how to protect our workers ourselves.”
Rahmat Saleh Baloch warned that if the killers were not immediately arrested and their backers exposed, the National Party, along with the people of Balochistan, would launch a wave of protests that no one would be able to suppress. “This bloodshed will neither break our resolve nor weaken our determination. We will seek justice for our martyrs and bring the oppressors to justice,” he said.
He further called on the people of Balochistan to unite against these conspiracies and play an active role in defeating the anti-democratic elements that are threatening the region’s stability and peace.
