Pakistan Will Give a Strong, Uncompromising Response to Any Indian Aggression: Field Marshal Asim Munir

Islamabad: Field Marshal Asim Munir has declared that any attempt by India to harm Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity will be met with a swift, powerful, and overwhelming response, far beyond expectations. The Chief of Army Staff, who was awarded the Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), made these remarks during his visit to the National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad, where he addressed officers graduating from the “National Security and War Course.”
During his speech, Field Marshal Munir highlighted the evolving nature of warfare, emphasizing the importance of mental preparedness, practical understanding, and institutional professional expertise in addressing complex challenges in difficult circumstances. He praised the role of key institutions like the NDU in preparing future leaders capable of effectively dealing with hybrid, conventional, and unconventional threats, stressing the need for coordination between civil and military institutions.
Field Marshal Munir also addressed India’s failure during “Operation Sunder” to achieve its military objectives. He described the Indian justification for its failure as illogical and a reflection of India’s lack of operational preparedness and strategic foresight. He dismissed India’s claims of foreign cooperation in Pakistan’s success during “Operation Bunyad-e-Mursoos” as irresponsible and contrary to facts, stating that such remarks indicated India’s reluctance to acknowledge Pakistan’s achievements.
He further criticized India’s attempts to involve other countries in bilateral military confrontations, viewing this as a failed political move to present itself as a self-proclaimed “Net Security Provider” in the region, a narrative rejected by neighboring countries due to India’s aggressive and Hindutva-driven policies.
Field Marshal Munir reiterated Pakistan’s principled foreign policy based on respect, peace, and long-term partnerships. He underscored Pakistan’s role as a “Net Regional Stabilizer” in contrast to India’s self-serving approach.
Emphasizing Pakistan’s preparedness, Field Marshal Munir asserted that any aggression aimed at Pakistan’s population centers, military bases, economic hubs, or ports would be met with a response that is severe, deep, painful, and beyond imagination. He warned that India would be held responsible for any escalation and the potentially devastating consequences arising from provocations against a sovereign nuclear state.
Finally, he stressed that wars are not won through media rhetoric, imported military hardware, or political slogans, but through unshakable belief, professional competence, operational transparency, strong institutions, and national resolve. Field Marshal Munir expressed complete confidence in the professionalism, spirit, and combat readiness of Pakistan’s armed forces, urging the graduating officers to remain steadfast in their commitment to selfless service and unwavering dedication to the nation.
