Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Sign $560 Million Agreement; Prime Minister Briefed

Islamabad: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have finalized agreements worth $560 million, with multiple memorandums of understanding (MoUs) signed in recent months. A detailed briefing on these developments was provided to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during a high-level meeting.
The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, focused on the progress of ongoing cooperation and investment initiatives between the two countries. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the progress of various projects and reiterated that Saudi Arabia has always been a longstanding and reliable friend of Pakistan, standing by the country in times of need.
He emphasized that Pakistan is keen to expand cooperation with Saudi Arabia across various sectors.
The briefing also included an update on the second meeting of the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Joint Task Force, which was held in November. During this meeting, the two countries reviewed the progress of collaboration across several fields. It was revealed that within a short period, 34 MoUs had been signed, seven of which have already been converted into formal agreements worth $560 million.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahsan Iqbal, Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb, Minister of Petroleum Dr. Musadik Masood Malik, National Coordinator of the Special Investment Facilitation Council Lt. Gen. (R) Sarfraz Ahmed, and other senior government officials.
