Faisal Vawda: Imran Khan is Safe in Adiala Jail, His Struggles Are Being Exacerbated by PTI’s Actions
Islamabad:Senior politician Faisal Vawda has stated that Imran Khan is currently in Adiala Jail and remains safe, especially as long as his wife, Bushra Bibi, does not have access to him. In a conversation with a private TV channel, Vawda expressed his concern for the PTI chairman, claiming that Imran Khan is trapped in false cases. He further vowed to make every effort to protect him.
Vawda criticized PTI’s current actions, stating that these efforts were only increasing Imran Khan’s troubles. He pointed out that former Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri had fled the country, adding that PTI leaders like Ali Amin Gandapur had previously issued threatening statements and were being prevented from leaving by party workers.
He also addressed the ongoing political crisis, suggesting that there were attempts to impose Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but he assured that this would not happen. Vawda accused Bushra Bibi and her allies of using “politics of corpses,” referring to her controversial statements about staging protests at D-Chowk. He questioned why she would retreat after making such demands.
Vawda further asserted that those involved in these political theatrics had already been exposed to the public, and now, only “drama” was being played out. He also remarked on the possibility of former General Faiz Hameed being court-martialed, stating that it would not be fair for actions to be taken against only one individual without broader accountability.
