Supreme Court Increases Pace of Work, Resolves Over 4,300 Cases in One Month

Islamabad: After Chief Justice Yahya Afridi assumed office, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has significantly accelerated the pace of its operations. According to an official statement issued by the court, from October 28 to November 29, 2024, the apex court resolved a total of 4,372 cases, while 1,853 new cases were filed during the same period.
The statement highlighted that under Chief Justice Yahya Afridi’s leadership, there has been a strong commitment to resolving pending cases swiftly. The Chief Justice and his fellow judges have worked tirelessly to clear backlogs and ensure timely judgments.
In addition to resolving cases at an accelerated pace, the Chief Justice has focused on judicial reforms, actively seeking expert advice and public input on improving the judicial system. The Supreme Court’s statement also reaffirmed its dedication to making the judiciary transparent, accessible, and responsive to the public’s needs.
