Akhtar Mengal Is Nominated in a Murder Case; He Should Surrender and Face the Courts: Chief Minister Balochistan
According to Official Records, Akhtar Mengal Is a Fugitive; Action Should Be Taken in Accordance with the Law: Mir Sarfraz Bugti
QUETTA (Daily Qudrat): Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that a case of the murder of former Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Naseer Mengal’s son Ataur Rehman Mengal is registered against Sardar Akhtar Mengal, in which Akhtar Mengal and his son are nominated. Akhtar Mengal should surrender and face the courts and obtain his bail, because according to official records he is a fugitive.
He expressed these views while giving an interview to a private TV channel in Islamabad. The Chief Minister said that so far no raid has been conducted by the government against Sardar Akhtar Mengal; however, action should be taken against him in accordance with the law and, if needed, a raid should also be conducted.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that when a murder case is registered against a person and he is declared a fugitive in official records, he should not avoid facing the law but should appear in court and obtain his bail. He made clear that everyone is equal in the eyes of the law and every person should adopt the legal path to face cases.
