PkMAP Slams Rising Crime in Quetta, Warns of Public Protests if Situation Persists

Quetta: The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has expressed serious concern over the worsening law and order situation in Quetta, stating that street crimes, extortion, and target killings have become routine, spreading fear among citizens.

In a statement issued by the party’s Quetta district chapter, it was said that incidents of robbery, mobile snatching, and firing are occurring in broad daylight, leaving residents feeling increasingly unsafe. The party criticized police performance as “highly disappointing,” alleging that criminal elements are operating freely while law enforcement agencies remain passive.

The statement added that public trust in institutions has been severely damaged, and the weakening writ of law is evident across the شہر. It held relevant police authorities responsible for the deteriorating situation and called for immediate, impartial action against criminals.

PkMAP demanded an effective strategy, increased patrolling, and concrete measures to ensure the safety of citizens. The party warned that if conditions do not improve, the public may be forced to take to the streets in protest, for which authorities would be held accountable.
